How Do I Obtain My Criminal History?

How to Obtain Your Criminal / Arrest History or Record of No Arrest

There are two ways you can obtain your complete criminal history (or confirmation of no criminal history). If you have only lived in Florida, you can order your criminal history online at this link: https://cchinet.fdle.state.fl.us/search/app/default?3 The cost is $25 and you can pay online with a credit card.

Use this link to order juvenile records in Florida.

If you have lived outside of Florida, you can submit an FBI fingerprint card to the FBI CJIS Division. You will go to a law enforcement agency (like the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 501 East Bay Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202) and request they fingerprint you on an “FBI Card.” The cost of the fingerprinting is free but the card costs $5. They will require some form of government ID (e.g., Florida Driver’s License or Passport). After you have been fingerprinted, you will fill out the FBI Applicant Information Form located here https://forms.fbi.gov/identity-history-summary-checks-review Then, you will obtain an $18 cashier’s check or money order made payable to the U.S. Treasury. You will mail all three items (the fingerprint card, the $18 fee and the Applicant Information Form) to the FBI CJIS Division, 1000 Custer Hollow Road, Clarksburg WV 26306. You should receive your complete criminal history (or record of no history) within three to six weeks.
