You will need to do the following:
- Fill out an Application form at http://www.ssa.gov/online/ss-5.html.
- Go to the nearest Social Security Office and apply for a Social Security number. You can locate the nearest Social Security office by going to the Social Security website https://secure.ssa.gov/apps6z/FOLO/fo001.jsp and entering in your zip code.
- Bring the completed Application as well as identification and proof of eligibility such as your unexpired Passport, EAD card and any documents that you received from USCIS. http://www.ssa.gov/ss5doc
